The Erectile Dysfunction Blood Test is composed of several tests that are needed to diagnose erectile dysfunction and suggest treatment for other chronic health conditions that may lead to the disorder. Erectile dysfunction may be caused by several diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, smoking, alcoholism, sleep disorders, low testosterone levels, and psychological disorders. This test includes:

Complete Blood Count (CBC) is used to count the number and types of cells in the sample of your blood, specifically red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. A CBC helps investigate any health conditions such as infection, anemia, and several other disorders.

Comprehensive Metabolic Panel consists of tests that measure enzymes, proteins, hormones, sugars, vitamins, and minerals that are related to the metabolism of the body. It is used to monitor conditions like kidney disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure.

T4 (thyroxine) and T3 (triiodothyronine) tests are used to determine hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism (an overactive thyroid). T3 and T4 are the two important hormones secreted by the thyroid gland.

TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) is a pituitary hormone that is part of the feedback system of the body that controls thyroid hormones. This is usually the first test your provider will do to check for thyroid hormone imbalance.

Testosterone is the main androgen that brings about the development of male characteristics.

Complete Urinalysis- A urinalysis is an assembly of various physical, chemical, and microscopic tests. The tests help to detect chemical composition present in the urine and its association with various diseases including renal diseases, urinary tract infection (UTI), urinary tract neoplasms, systemic diseases, and inflammatory or neoplastic diseases adjacent to the urinary tract.
