Molds are tiny fungus spores that float through the air. They need a moist environment to grow and can be both indoors and outdoors. The immune system of a person allergic to mold is overly sensitive to specific mold spores. It is seen that people with mold allergies, usually have infections and diseases related to the respiratory tract. The Allergy Mold Panel Blood Test is a blood test that identifies the common mold, spore, and fungi allergens. The panel includes testing for

Penicillium Notatum (M1) IgE: Penicillium chrysogenum (also known as Penicillium notatum) is a class of fungus in the genus Penicillium. Most commonly found in temperate and subtropical regions. It can also be found on salted food products, but it is frequently found in indoor environments (damp or water-damaged buildings). Penicillium chrysogenum is usually uncommon in causing disease in humans but incidences of opportunistic infections by Penicillium chrysogenum have however been stated, causing infections in immune-compromised persons with underlying conditions.
Cladosporium Herbarum (M2) IgE: Cladosporium herbarum is a mold that can be found indoors as well as outdoors. Although most types of Cladosporium are not dangerous to humans, yet sometimes they may become the cause of allergies or may worsen asthma.
Alternaria Alternata (M6) IgE: Alternaria alternata is usually considered as an outdoor mold, whose pores circulate in warm, dry air, and their count increases during summers. The substantial concentrations of Alteranaria alternata may also be found in damp, insufficiently ventilated houses. It is one of the most common fungi associated with allergic disease and can cause upper respiratory tract infections and asthma in humans with compromised immunity.
Aspergillus Fumigatus (M3) IgE: Aspergillus fumigatus is of the most prevalent airborne fungal pathogens, whose spores are found in the environment, where it has learned how to adapt and proliferate in hostile environments. Aspergillus Fumigatus causes a wide range of infections, including chronic pulmonary aspergillosis that is a chronic lung disease, and invasive aspergillosis, a life-threatening systemic infection involving multiple organs
Mucor Racemosus (M4) IgE: Mucor Racemosus fungus is a fungus and can be primarily found in soil, organic matter, and floor dust. People with weak immune systems show higher susceptibility towards the Mucor Racemosus allergy. Additionally, People suffering from asthma show higher sensitivity to the Mucor Racemosus.
Stemphylium Botryosum (M10) IgE: A well-known plant pathogen, Stemphylium botryosum is generally found in the soil in temperate and subtropical regions and on a wide range of host plants. Though the Stemphylium botryosum is usually uncommon in causing disease in humans. However, it may lead to asthma and hypersensitivity pneumonitis in humans having weak immunity.

IgE allergy testing for:
Alternaria alternata (m6)
Aspergillus fumigatus (m3)
Cladosporium herbarum (m2)

Penicillium notatum (m1)
Stemphylium botryosum (m10)
