The BMP includes:

● Electrolytes: Sodium, potassium, carbon dioxide, and chloride, are the electrolytes that help control the body's fluid levels and its acid-base (pH) balance. Normal levels are required for proper cell function in the body.
● Kidney Tests: Kidneys play an important role in filtering out the blood by removing waste products like Blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine. Blood levels can thus be used as an indicator of analyzing how well the kidneys are working.
This test is used to check diabetes risk, kidney function, fluid balance as well as electrolytes. It is administered as a regular health examination or to evaluate patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension. This test usually requires fasting before the collection of samples.
Please do not exercise prior to testing. It is best that your blood is taken in a rested state.
